Leaving aside the apparent mess of his real life, I first noticed Heath in Brokeback Mountain. I was stunned by that performance because all he had done before was light action/comedy fare. In Brokeback Mountain he was able to communicate the deep well of emotion that lay behind a very reticent man - a man who was very much the product of his time and place. For anyone who wants to see what great acting is all about, I recommend it.

It's not life what's hard for an actor. It's being themselves. Many actors I've known have issues. In fact, most actors attitude towards life can be resumed with this sentence:
- "Noticemenoticemeiamhereheylistentomelistentome"

I really liked Knight's Tale too. It was an off-the-wall sleeper that was just plain fun, nothing heavy duty, no big MESSAGE...just goofy, light-hearted, entertainment...and you must admit you got a tear in your eye when he reunited with his father...go on, admit it :)

I liked " A Knight' s Tale " much to my friends' chagrin. And he was excellent as the Joker in " The Dark Knight ".
