Another really cool movie maker. Has anybody else out there seen “Stranger Than Paradise”? Man, I LOVED that movie as a angst-ridden pseudo-existentialist teen…I really have to get around and buy that again some day.

I saw this one. On the big screen no less. My favorite scene was a long cut of the 3 main characters in an empty theater passively watching a Hong Kong kung-fu epic. We never see the screen, but we hear everything as the enraged foley fight goes on and on and on. I still chuckle over this years later.
Yeah that was hilarious. I also liked the strange bit where they went to Florida and the guy had packed an empty peanut jar. I know this must sound terribly dull to anybody who hasn’t seen this movie.
I haven’t seen it, and you are correct, it sounds deadly dull!
Nah, it’s really not. Well, it depends. It’s worth a rental if you can find it. It’s a pretty special film.
