  THAT is awesome! I think I saw this a few years ago, but it does my heart good to see it again. Makes me want to go watch some star trek. Excuse me.

  Man, the fatality rate for ensigns on the USS Enterprise was pretty high : ) I can’t imagine how anybody would want to join that crew as a junior member! lol

  I keep thinking of that scene from Apocolypse Now where the helicopters are attacking the beach and there’s a breif shot of some guy refusing to get off the chopper and shouting “I’m not going! I’m not going!”…I can just imagine some poor Ships Mate 3rd Class Jimmy being dragged down to the transporter room shouting “I’m not transporting! I’m not transporting!” 🙂

  Heh, this was kind of parodied in Galaxy Quest. Actually, I think I want to watch that again.

  My biggest nightmare would be to beam down to the planet with the captain, first officer, and the medical doctor. Imagine if they were wiped out, what would the ship do without its top 3 officers? Scotty get a promotion the easy way…
